FIFA Sanctions Ronaldo’s Club Al-Nassr over Ahmed Musa Transfer | METROWATCH

FIFA has sanctioned Cristiano Ronaldo’s Saudi Arabian club, Al-Nassr, after an incident involving Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa.

The international football governing body has now barred the club from registering any fresh signings for the upcoming Saudi Pro League.

Al-Nassr has failed to pay Leicester City the money owed to them as a result of Musa’s move.

Musa joined the Saudi Arabian Pro League club in 2018 for €16.50 million, shortly after shining at the World Cup in Russia.

The Knights of Naja have paid the transfer price but have yet to pay the add-ons, despite a judgment by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

Al-Nassr were forced to pay the Foxes €460,000 in performance-related add-ons, according to Ben Jacobs.

However, the Saudi heavyweights have yet to comply with the CAS verdict, leading FIFA to prohibit them from registering fresh players ahead of the next season.
