Ojezua, a 2024 governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State and a former State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), recently returned to the APC.
The appointment was contained in a statement signed on Monday by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., and made available to journalists in Benin City.
Members of the Council include Osaigbovo Tina Isoken, Michael Ezomoghene, Okougbo Godswill Akhibi, Omonzienlen Augustus Agboya, Peter Otuogbuma Okhaide, and Eralu Aliyu Adamu.
Ikhilor noted that the Council will be inaugurated by the Governor on a date to be announced later.
The constitution of the new Governing Council is seen as part of Governor Okpebholo’s efforts to strengthen the institution’s leadership and advance its development agenda in agricultural and natural resource education.
With the appointment of seasoned professionals like Ojezua and others, who are expected to play key roles in shaping the College’s strategic direction, focus now shifts to revitalizing the institution as a center of excellence in agricultural education and research.
