PDP’s Crocodile Tears Expose a Party of Criminal Facilitators, Hypocrites, and Economic Saboteurs

Was it the APC that instructed PDP members to entangle themselves in matters that attract the attention of law enforcement? Should the Governor Okpehbholo government shield criminals simply because as suspects they wear PDP badges?

Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) notes with disdain the irresponsible and misleading press conference by the Caretaker Chairman of the discredited Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, accusing the administration of Senator Monday Okpebholo led APC administration of weaponizing the fight against criminality.

Of a truth criminality knows no party, and no amount of blackmail will deter the APC-led government from confronting lawlessness head-on. If PDP chieftains are feeling the heat, they should check their closets—perhaps too many skeletons are wailing there.

Their so-called protest over the sealing of properties allegedly linked to its members is not only self-indicting but a panic.move. Was it the APC that instructed PDP members to entangle themselves in matters that attract the attention of law enforcement? Should the Governor Okpehbholo government shield criminals simply because as suspects they wear PDP badges?

Edo people are already informed that under the government of Senator Okpebholo, there will be no sacred cows. The law will take its course, and no amount of weird propaganda from the PDP will change that.

On the issue of minimum wage, Dr. Aziegbemi’s crocodile tears is insulting to the intelligence of Edo workers. Mr Godwin Obaseki, whom they now reference, arbitrarily raised wages in his dying days with no fiscal roadmap. It was Greek gift. In contrast, Governor Okpebholo has increased wages responsibly, backed by sound economic planning and sustainability.

The PDP, after squandering eight years in misgovernance, cannot now claim to speak for Edo workers. It is preposterous that it is the same PDP that left pensioners unpaid and workers demoralised that is talking! Edo people have not forgotten.

Governor Monday Okpehbholo’s administration is focused on restoring sanity, security, and sustainable development in Edo State. The government will not be distracted by a rejected political party desperate to cling to relevance through lies and theatrics.

The APC calls on Edo people to remain steadfast in their support for the distinguished Senator Monday Okpehbholo government as it will continue the dismantling of the infrastructure of impunity erected by the PDP.

Signed: Barr. Peter Uwadiae Igbinigie,

State Publicity Secretary,

All Progressives Congress (APC), Edo State.
