Less than 48 hours before Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Edo State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun distributing sensitive documents to the state’s several local government areas.

The State Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Dr. Onuoha Anugbum, informed Newsmen on Thursday at the Benin branch of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, that the materials will be given to the state’s 18 local government areas.

According to Anugbum, the distribution comes ahead of the State’s governorship election on Saturday, September 21.

“We are here, we have commenced the distribution of sensitive materials to the local government area.”
