Monday Okpebholo

As the political landscape in Edo State continues to evolve, the Okpameri Progressive Union, has urged the people of Akoko-Edo, particularly the Okpameri Nation, to rally behind leaders who have consistently demonstrated their commitment to the development and progress of our communities.
In a statement signed by the President of the group, Mr. Hedges Tunde Damisa, and the secretary, Mr. Timi Aiyedun, and made available to newsmen, the leaders urged all well-meaning members of the Okpameri Nation and the broader Akoko-Edo community to cast their votes for the APC.
“In this light, we proudly endorse Senator Monday Okpebholo and Rt Hon Dennis Idahosa for the governorship of Edo State. Their proven track records of effective leadership and dedication to the welfare of our people make them the ideal candidates to steer Edo State towards a brighter future. This, no doubt galvanized the gathering of politicians across different political parties to chat a common front.
“Senator Monday Okpebholo, a visionary leader, has been a steadfast advocate for the people of Edo State, particularly for those in Akoko-Edo. His tenure in the Senate has been marked by a relentless pursuit of policies and initiatives that have brought tangible benefits to his constituency.
“From infrastructure projects to educational advancements. Senator Okpebholo has consistently worked to uplift the lives of his constituents. His vision for a prosperous and united Edo State aligns with the aspirations of the Okpameri people, and we believe that under his leadership, Edo State will continue to thrive.
“Rt Hon Dennis Idahosa, a champion for development, has also distinguished himself as a dedicated and effective leader. His legislative achievements in the House of Representatives have led to significant improvements in the lives of the people of Akoko-Edo.
“With a focus on infrastructure, health, and education, Rt Hon Idahosa has been instrumental in driving development in our region. His commitment to ensuring that the people of Akoko-Edo receive their fair share of resources and opportunities is unparalleled, and his leadership will undoubtedly bring further progress to Edo State.
“Recall that since the time of former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been at the forefront of driving development in Akoko-Edo. Under the leadership of the APC, our communities witnessed unprecedented growth and modernization. Roads were constructed, and schools and healthcare services were built to the taste of the Edo people. The APC’s focus on development has transformed Akoko-Edo, making it a beacon of progress in Edo State.
“In contrast, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been playing catch-up, trying to mimic the successes achieved by the APC. However, the difference in vision, execution, and results is clear. The APC has consistently delivered on its promises, while the PDP has struggled to keep pace, making Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) a deceptive policy in Edo State. As we look to the future, it is evident that continued progress for Akoko-Edo and the Okpameri Nation lies with the APC.
“A vote for Senator Monday Okpebholo and Rt Hon Dennis Idahosa is a vote for sustained development, peace, and prosperity. Let us continue the momentum that began under Governor Adams Oshiomhole and ensure that Akoko-Edo remains on the path to greatness,” the statement read.
In a similar development, Okpameri Political Elites, have also endorsed Okpebolo and Idahosa. President of the group, Mr. Timi Aiyedun, in a statement, said the unwavering dedication and impactful leadership of Okpebholo and Idahosa are deserving of their collective support, particularly from the vibrant communities of Akoko-Edo and the broader Okpameri Nation.
The statement read: “Senator Monday Okpebolo, renowned for his dynamic approach and commitment to the welfare of Edo State’s citizens, has effectively championed significant advancements in infrastructure and educational reforms as a private citizen and also as a Senator. His initiatives reflect a deep-rooted passion for elevating the community’s standard of living, thereby fostering an environment ripe for prosperity and unity across Edo State.
“Similarly, Rt Hon Dennis Idahosa has proven his mettle as an astute legislator with a keen focus on sustainable development. His tenure in the House of Representatives is highlighted by successful projects that have significantly ameliorated the infrastructure, healthcare, and educational sectors. His proactive and people-centered governance has brought about substantial improvements that resonate with the needs and aspirations of his people.
“As the forthcoming elections approach, the Okpameri Political Elites implore every member of the Okpameri Nation and Akoko-Edo at large to place their trust and votes in the capable hands of Senator Monday Okpebolo and Rt Hon Dennis Idahosa. Supporting the APC signifies a commitment to maintaining the trajectory of growth and excellence set forth by our previous leaders.
“We encourage you to join us in voting for the APC, ensuring that the legacy of development and prosperity in Akoko-Edo and for the Okpameri Nation not only continues but thrives.”
