Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum has challenged his players to put on their scoring boots when they square up with Spain today.
The former African champions put up a resolute display in the 1-0 defeat to Brazil on Thursday.
Waldrum’s side missed three glorious chances in the opening 25 minutes of the keenly contested game.
Ahead of the make of mar clash with world champions Spain, Waldrum stated that his players must be clinical in front of goal.
“Our ability to be more clinical with our chances is going to be vital. We have to do a better job [of that] because you’re not going to get 10-12 shots on these teams,” Waldrum told ESPN.
“You’re going to get two or three chances, decent chances probably in the day, and you’ve got to be good enough to put one in and make sure defensively to keep them from putting goals.”
