The student at the Lead British International School who was captured on tape bullying a fellow student (names withheld) has apologized.
In a video received by a journalist in Abuja, she conveyed her “sincere apologies” and stated that she wished the entire situation had not occurred.
On Monday night, X user @moooyeeeee shared two videos of a female student at the school being repeatedly slapped by other female pupils.
The user demanded justice for the victim.
Since they were posted, the videos have drawn the wrath of many users of the microblogging platform, who condemned the incident and called for the school authorities to investigate and punish the culprits.
One of those who reacted posted a screenshot where it was alleged the school has been treating bullying, which it said has been reoccurring, with kid gloves.
Speaking in the video, she said, “I am very sorry for what I did to Namtira. I am also apologising to you all out there. I am sincerely sorry. I wish it never happened.”
