A multiple accident involving five cars and a BRT bus occurred along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Sunday.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority disclosed this in a video shared on its X handle on Sunday.

The video revealed the aftermath of the collision and the resulting damage to the vehicles involved.

LASTMA’s caption read, “A multiple auto crash involving six vehicles including a BRT bus has occurred at NNPC, inwards Estate Alapere on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

“The resultant backlog of traffic is now at Ogudu.”

The statement added that LASTMA officers are at the scene to ensure the movement of other motorists, and effort is ongoing to clear the area.

It added, “However, our officers are present there working to ease movement for other motorists, and earnest effort has commenced to clear the scene.”

The cause of the accident and casualty report has not yet been disclosed.
