Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is confident in the club’s chances of winning the Premier League title, noting that they are on the right road and that it is only a matter of time until they reach this goal.
The Argentine highlighted that Chelsea’s success is due to their approach of recruiting young players, who require time to develop, and that he is confident in the players’ ability.
Despite finishing 11th in the league table, Pochettino feels his squad is playing well, having reached the Carabao Cup final last month and making it to the FA Cup semi-finals.
According to him, they should be in the top four in the Premier League, Pochettino said.
“We understood very well what it means to change the direction of the club. Now it is entirely different.
“We want the best for the club, for the owners, for the players and for our fans,” said Pochettino at his pre-match interview ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Burnley on Saturday.
“Yes, one day we will win the Premier League.
“But if not, for sure another coaching staff will win it because this process needs to happen.”
