Ailing Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has reportedly returned from his three months medical trip in Germany.

A viral picture of Akeredolu seated in an aircraft signalling his return to the country has surfaced online.

Already, Akeredolu’s cabinet members are said to be in Ibadan to welcome the governor back home.

Akeredolu began his medical leave in June and was extended indefinitely by the state House of Assembly.

The Ondo governor had transferred power to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in line with constitutional provisions.

A source confirmed to journalists that the governor would arrive in Ibadan, where he would take a few days rest.

“I’m also aware that some members of the state Exco might likely visit him there to welcome him back to the state,” the source said.
