Governor Yahaya Bello on Wednesday returned to Lokoja, Kogi State, amid rumours about the state of his health.

However, in the past few days, rumours emerged in some sections of social media that the governor was in a critical health condition, and some quarters even claimed that he had passed away.

Debunking the wild spread rumour, Governor Bello described it as the handwork of people with bad intentions, stressing emphatically that he was never sick and remained hale and hearty.

The governor assured citizens that after a long week of engagements in Abuja, he was back to resume his duty fully with a renewed vigour in stamping out crimes and criminality in the state.

Bello was received back to Lokoja amid wild jubilation by his teaming supporters, who waited at strategic points to catch a glimpse of him while the entourage moved slowly to the Government House, Lokoja.
