Outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari has asked the Senate to approve his request to pay judgment debts in the tune of $566,754,584.31, £98,526,012.00 and N226 billion owed by the Federal Government through the issuance of promissory notes.

The President’s letter of request was read on the floor of the red chamber at the resumption of plenary on Wednesday by the Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan.
