Chelsea have decided to allow Frank Lampard continue as their interim manager until the end of the season, according to Sky Sports.
Lampard signed a short-term contract with the Blues after Graham Potter was sacked in early April.
Since taking over, the former England midfielder has lost all five matches he’s been in charge.
That run of defeats has seen Chelsea exit the Champions League in the hands of Real Madrid and wallow in 11th place in the Premier League.
The latest was a 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge to West London rivals Brentford.
The club will however let Lampard continue despite their continued poor form.
The club’s process for a new permanent manager remains ongoing – with Mauricio Pochettino the current frontrunner – and the intention is for him to takeover at the end of the season.
