Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for president, will continue his presidential campaign in Abeokuta on Wednesday.
Thousands of PDP supporters are reportedly crowding the Ogun state capital to welcome Atiku, according to newsmen.
At the Park Inn, Kuto, Abeokuta, the former vice president is scheduled to meet with a number of stakeholders.
Following this, Ladi Adebutu, the PDP’s candidate for governor of Ogun, will lead Atiku, his running mate Ifeanyi Okowa, and other PDP Presidential Campaign Council officials to the Ake Palace Arcade, the actual campaign’s location.
According to the Ogun State Ministry of Sports and Youths Development’s announcement that the MKO Abiola Stadium is undergoing renovations and won’t be accessible for the campaign, Ake Palace Arcade was chosen as the new location for Atiku’s campaign.
Prior to hosting Atiku’s campaign in Ogun State, the PDP in that state had written to the Ministry to ask for permission to use the stadium.
