The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has finally released full list of cleared aspirants for the 2023 presidential elections – with 13 cleared to contest and 10 disqualified from the race.
Among the aspirants disqualified are Senator Rochas Okorocha, former Imo governor; Tunde Bakare, Lagos-based pastor; Ben Ayade, Cross River Governor; Dimeji Bankole, former House of Reps Speaker; and Ken Nnamani, former Senate President.
Others are former Zamfara State governor, Sani Yerima; former Minister of Information and Culture, Ikeobasi Mokelu; US-based Pastor, Felix Nicholas, the only APC female aspirant, Uju Ken-Ohanenye and Ondo state Senator, Ajayi Robert Boroffice.
Meanwhile, those cleared to contest the primary election by the John Odigie-Oyegun led screening committee are: APC national leader, Bola Tinubu; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; former minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi; Senate President Ahmad Lawan; Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello; and his Ekiti State counterpart, Kayode Fayemi.
Others are former Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba; former Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu; former Ogun governor, Ibikunle Amosun; Ebonyi state governor, David Umahi; and his Jigawa State counterpart, Abubakar Badaru.
Two other aspirants, former Minister of the Niger Delta, Godswill Akpabio and Mr Tein Jack-Rich, were also among the list of cleared aspirants.
