Presidential pardon: While we’re yet to Release ex-Govs Dariye, Nyame – NCSThe Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) have confirmed that former governor of Plateau State, Joshua Dariye and his Taraba State counterpart, Jolly Nyame are still in its custody.
The former governors were granted pardon along with 157 others by the Council of States five days ago.
However, the service says it is awaiting directives from the Attorney General of the Federation for their release.
Dariye and Nyame were convicted and jailed in 2018 for charges bothering on money laundering to the tune of over N2billion.
