Senator Ned Nwoko has said he feels sorry for men with just one wife.
He stated this in a recent interview on Channels Televisionâs Politics Today on Sunday, October 26.
He also answered questions about the ongoing marital crisis with his actress wife, Regina Daniels.
When asked how he manages to handle four wives â something most men find nearly impossible â Nwoko paused before responding confidently:
âThatâs a different topic for another day. But yes, every man should do that. Imagine telling you to stand on one leg â itâs difficult. But when you stand on two, three, or four, youâre more balanced. Thatâs the example I give. I feel sorry for those who have one wife because itâs difficult to stand on one leg.â
When the interviewer pointed out that the Bible doesnât support polygamy, the senator quickly replied, âThe Old Testament does. Iâm a man of faith. But thatâs not what weâre here for.â
Asked if he had any regrets about his marital choices, Nwoko firmly said no.
âNo, I donât have any regret. I would do the same thing again. Thatâs the way it should be â you should marry who you want to marry.â
The senator also denied allegations of domestic violence made against him by Regina Daniels, who recently shared emotional posts suggesting that she had suffered abuse.
âCome on, you know Iâm not a violent person. I respect my wives. I love them and my kids,â he said.
His comments come just hours after Regina Daniels flaunted a new mansion on Instagram, amid growing reports of separation.
The Nollywood actress had shared photos and videos of her new property with the caption: âIn my house, I am a Queen! I needed a roof over my head, so I got this for me and my family.â
Her post followed a viral clip from October 18 showing her in tears outside her Abuja home, lamenting that she could no longer endure the alleged violence.
âIn Ned Nwokoâs house, I am nothing. But in my own house, I am a Queen. I canât stand the violence â itâs too much,â she said in the viral footage.
The coupleâs six-year marriage â once one of the most talked-about unions in Nollywood because of their age difference â appears to have hit a rough patch, with both sides now publicly addressing the issues in different tones.
