Governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde, has congratulated his Osun State counterpart, Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election, describing the victory as a triumph for democracy and the people of Osun State.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, Makinde said Adeleke’s victory was a reward for his commitment to good governance and service to the people.
He also commended Osun voters for exercising their franchise with courage, saying the election had once again demonstrated that the people hold the ultimate power in a democracy.
The governor urged Adeleke to see his re-election as an encouragement to deliver more development to the state.
He also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for the conduct of the election, describing the poll as a litmus test for the 2027 general election and urging the commission not to disappoint Nigerians.
