The Edo State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that CP Nemi Edwin-Iwo, psc (+), has assumed duty today.
CP Nemi Edwin-Iwo hails from Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State, he holds a BA (Hons) Degree in History from University of Port-Harcourt and Masters in Industrial Relations from the University of Ibadan.
He was enlisted into Nigeria Police Force in the year 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and rose through the ranks.
Over the last three decades in the Force, CP Nemi Edwin-Iwo has attended several Tactical and Leadership Courses both within and outside the Country, notable are;
* Combat Operational course (Mobile Training School Desert camp Gwoza)
* Citizenship and Leadership Course (Shere Hills, Jos, Plateau State)
* Intermediate Command Course (ICC, Jos)
* Tactical Counter Terrorism Course, Police Academy, Cairo-Egypt
* Human Right Training Course
* EU Countering Violent Extremism Course
* Community Policing Course
The new CP is a hardworking, versatile and dedicated law enforcement officer who has held several Command positions, some of which include:

* Assistant Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command
* Staff College, Jos
* Commissioner of Police, Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) Force Headquarters, Abuja
* Commissioner of Police, Force Intelligence Department (FID), FHQ, Abuja.
An urbane officer with career experience – spanning across administration, Intelligence, Operations and Public Relations. He is also an Internationally recognized Cop who served in the United Nations Peace Keeping Missions in Kosovo, Sudan and Dafur. He is also a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).
Until his present posting, he was the Commissioner of Police in charge Intelligence at the Force Intelligence Department, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
