The Benue State Governor, Mr. Samuel Ortom, who recently openly backed the candidacy of Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), has won his polling unit for the ex-Anambra governor during today’s presidential poll.
Ortom, who is running for Senate under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), also cleared the entire votes in his unit for the PDP under the national assembly polls at unit 16, Tse Ortom, Mzondu ward, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.
metrowatchxtra reports that his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, failed to secure a single vote under the presidential election category.
The Benue governor, a member of the aggrieved PDP G-5 governors, had earlier today openly voted Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party in the elections, despite being a member of the PDP.
