With Nigeria’s commitment to leverage her rich hydrocarbon deposits to expand her economy and take Nigeria to the next level in the current global energy industry, one company that has consistently shown expertise, experience, technical capabilities and resilience in leveraging the enormous opportunities that now abound in the energy sector, is Lee Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd. which has been in operation for 32 years.

MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING FACTORY

Indeed, following the federal government of Nigeria’s commitment to the Nigerian Local Content Act, which seeks to promote indigenous technological capabilities in the oil and gas sector, Lee Engineering is currently building a gigantic, next-generation production facility in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. The facility has an installed capacity to manufacture high volume industry equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, process skids, tanks and other oil and gas tools that would help transform the industry. The investment in the gigantic fabrication facility is estimated to be worth multi-million dollars.

This project located at Km 7 NPA Express Way, Warri, is fully dedicated to in-country manufacture of plants and equipment for the Power, Oil and Gas Industry as a mark of our quest to boost indigenous technological capacity development, technology transfer and participation of Nigerians in key sectors of the economy, hitherto only handled by expatriates.

The factory has capacity and potential to specifically manufacture heat exchangers, high, medium and low-pressure vessels, skids, tanks, scrubbers, drums and assorted Power, Oil and Gas infrastructure, as well as conducting maintenance repairs of industrial equipment. The import substitution benefit of this venture to the national economy needs no emphasis. Most importantly, the factory is equipped with heavy-duty cranes (35T – 200T), forklifts, high pressure pumping and cleaning machines for exchangers and vessels, etc., in a one-stop shop for customized retrofitting activities. And the company has trained 70 of its employees abroad for mastery of the factory operations.

Top management of Lee Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd. rolled out its accomplishments during its presentation at the Senate Committee on Gas, recently. Backed by a dedicated, competent and experienced team, the company which started from a humble beginning has consistently built up its esteemed reputation in the industry.

As of today, Lee Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd. has executed major EPC projects and is now looking to deepen industry capacities, capabilities and expertise by sending over 40 of its key staff overseas in various global jurisdictions across Europe, America and Asia/Middle East, for further training to further their technological know-how on the operations of the company’s technology-driven latest facilities and capabilities.
