Abubakar Atiku, a former vice president and presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Peter Obi, a candidate for the Labour Party (LP), are noticeably missing from the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, where a ruling on their petitions is to be made.

Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi State, is the only significant PDP politician who is now in court.

However, Julius Abure, the national head of the party, represented the Labour Party.

Metrowatch could not immediately ascertain the reasons for their absence as Atiku’s media director, Mr Paul Ibe did not respond to phone calls put across to him.
