The Federal Government’s N5 billion in palliatives to remove fuel subsidy, according to Femi Falana, a well-known human rights attorney and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, are ineffective and wasteful.
This was revealed by Falana on Friday during a Channels Television interview .
He asserted that Tinubu need to deal with the nation’s economy’s dollarization, which is its underlying cause.
He bemoaned the Central Bank of Nigeria’s error in floating the Naira on the international market.
“Most of the interventions are temporary, sometimes diversionary, because the major problem is the dollarisation of the economy”, he stated.
Recall that Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State disclosed that N5 billion had been released to the 36 States and Federal Capital Territory at the end of Thursday’s National Economic Council meeting.
