BREAKING: Senate passes Local Govt Financial Autonomy Bill

Senators have overwhelmingly voted in support of the Local Government Financial Autonomy Bill.

The Bill seeks alteration of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), to give financial autonomy to the local government councils in Nigeria.

As at the time of filing this report, 92 out of the 109 Senators voted in support of the Bill.
