Randy Waldrum, head coach of the Super Falcons, has stated that his squad is destined for greatness in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The nine-time African champions have already advanced to the competition’s Round of 16.
Waldrum’s team was unblemished in group play, with one draw and two draws in three games.
The Super Falcons will accomplish the feat for the first time at the Women’s World Cup.
On Monday, August 7, Nigeria will face England in the Round of 16.
“I just feel like they all believe we are destined for something special at this World Cup,” Waldrum told AFP.
“Our journey is not over and we will be very, very well prepared for whoever we play next week.”
