The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, has said a petition can be written to the National Assembly if the police aren’t needed again.
He said this in response to an inquiry via his Twitter handle on Thursday.
A tweep, while sharing a video of popular rapper Ikechukwu being stopped by police officers asked when unprofessionalism by the police would end.
In the video shared by the tweep, the officer while responding to the rapper asking why he had to be searched could be heard saying, “Because you look suspicious.”
Edafe responded saying, “You can just write a petition to the National Assembly that you don’t police again.
“Can he refuse to be searched if he were to be in the US or UK? He’s saying woah woah, woah my foot. A supposed role model to our youths.”
