At the Ndiegoro Police Station in Aba, Abia State, a police inspector was allegedly killed by suspected ESN members.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Tuesday at around 12:30 pm on Aba’s Ohanku Road/Iheorji junction.

In the subsequent gunfire, the police managed to stop two of the terrorists throughout the event.

NAN said that SP Geoffrey Ogbonna, the public relations officer for the Abia State Police, verified the event.

According to Ogbonna, while on patrol in the area of Iheorji, some police officers from the Ndiegoro Police Station were attacked by individuals they believed to be ESN/IPOB members.

“During a gun duel, one of the Policemen paid the supreme price while two of the gunmen were neutralized.
