The Senate on Wednesday screened and confirmed all the seven ministerial nominees by President Muhammadu Buhari, metrowatchxtra reports.

metrowatchxtra reports that Buhari had on 21st June forwarded the list of nominees to the Senate for confirmation, in a letter read by Senate President Ahmad Lawan, during plenary.

The nominees include Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh (Abia), Umana Okon Umana (Akwa-Ibom), Ekumankama Joseph Nkama (Ebonyi) and Goodluck Nanah Opiah (Imo).

Others are Umar Ibrahim El-Yakub – Kano State; Ademola Adewole Adegoroye – Ondo State; and Odum Udi – Rivers State.

The Ministerial Nominees, who have now been screened, will replace former members of the Buhari’s cabinet who resigned to pursue their 2023 presidential ambitions including Rotimi Amaechi, Ogbonnaya Onu, Godswill Akpabio and Emeka Nwajiuba.
