Yahaya Bello Wins APC Kogi Central Senate Primary, Sweeps all 5 LGAs

‎Former governor Yahaya Bello has recorded a landslide victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for Kogi Central Senatorial District, winning across all five local government areas of the district.

‎Results collated from the five local government areas which were in favour of the former governor are: Adavi – 18,341, Ajaokuta – 10,298, Ogori – 5,146, Okehi – 8,943, and Okene – 29,621. Total – 72,399.

Results for Bello’s co-contestants are as follows: Ibrahim Yakubu Adoke: Adavi – 67, Ajaokuta – 147, Ogori – 63, Okehi – 25, Okene – 13; total – 319 while Momoh Yusuf Obaro polled: Adavi – 14, Ajaokuta – 76, Ogori – 65, Okehi – 25, Okene – 8; total – 188.

‎Bello will most likely, in the general election, face Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan who is expected to clinch the PDP ticket on Wednesday, being the only aspirant for the party’s primary.
