Troops of Joint Task Force North-East, Operation Hadin Kai, have sustained pressure on terrorist elements in Borno and Yobe, recording fresh operational gains in the last 24 hours.

“Air operations also intensified, with the Air Component conducting night patrols along key supply routes covering Auno, Molai, Konduga and Maiduguri axis.

“During the mission, aerial surveillance detected suspicious movements south of Auno, prompting probing fire by the aircraft,” it said.

The report further revealed that troops intercepted suspected logistics suppliers to terrorists during a night patrol in Yusufari Local Government Area of Yobe.

It added that troops recovered large quantities of Premium Motor Spirit concealed in sacks and arrested several suspects, including a driver, a motor boy and fuel station staff.

According to the report, recovered items and suspects are currently in custody for further investigation.
