President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated renowned cleric and founder of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, William Folorunso Kumuyi, on the occasion of his 85th birthday.
In a statement issued by the Presidency, Tinubu paid tribute to the respected preacher, describing him as a remarkable servant of God whose unwavering faith, wisdom and dedication have shaped lives and strengthened the Christian faith for more than five decades.
The President noted that Pastor Kumuyi’s ministry has grown into a global platform that continues to inspire millions across different nations.
“Pastor Kumuyi’s enduring legacy of unwavering faith, wisdom, and dedication has shaped a thriving ministry for over 50 years,” Tinubu said.
He particularly acknowledged the impact of the cleric’s international evangelistic outreach through the Global Crusade with Kumuyi.
“As the convener of Global Crusade with Kumuyi, your voice has reached beyond the church walls and national borders, bringing hope and encouragement to millions across the world,” the President stated.
Tinubu also praised Kumuyi’s contributions as an author and teacher, noting that his writings have provided spiritual guidance to generations of believers.
“Your writings have illuminated minds, inspired hearts, and provided timeless guidance to those seeking truth and purpose,” he added.
The President further commended the influence of the Deeper Life founder in transforming lives, strengthening families and raising leaders across different spheres of society.
“Your ministry and influence have transformed lives, restored families, inspired leaders, and strengthened the faith of generations of believers,” he said.
As the cleric marks the milestone age of 85, Tinubu offered prayers for continued strength, good health and divine grace.
“On this special day, I pray that Almighty God continues to grant you strength, divine health, peace, and abundant grace,” the President said.
Pastor Kumuyi is widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most influential Christian leaders, having led the growth of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry from a small Bible study group into a global evangelical movement with a presence in several countries.
