Zulum Appoints Dr. Babagana Mustapha Mallumbe Acting Chief of Staff

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has approved the appointment of Engr. Dr. Babagana Mustapha Mallumbe as the Acting Chief of Staff to the Governor.

Until his appointment, Dr. Mallumbe is the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS I) to the Governor.

Governor Babagana Zulum has also approved the posting and allocation of portfolios to the 10 newly sworn-in commissioners.

The postings are aimed at strengthening governmence and accelerating the implementation of the administration’s 25-year Development Plan and 10-year Strategic Transformation Initiatives.

The portfolios are as released:

1. Barr. Hauwa Abubakar – Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.

2. Hon. Bukar Mustapha Dalatu – Commissioner of Budget and Planning.

3. Hon. Engr. Lawan Abba Wakilbe – Commissioner of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation.

4. Hon. Umar Lawan Dalorima – Commissioner of Finance and Economic Development.

5. Professor Baba Mallam Gana – Commissioner of Health and Human Services.

6. Professor Usman A. Tar – Commissioner of Information and Internal Security.

7. Hon. Sugun Mai Mele – Commissioner of Local Government and Emirate Affairs

8. Hon. Aliyu Mohammed Lawan Buba – Commissioner of Transport and Energy.

9. Hajiya Zuwaira Gambo – Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development.

10. Hon. Saina Buba – Commissioner of Youths, Sports, and Poverty Alleviation.

The statement adds that all commissioners are expected to take over the affairs of their ministries effective immediately.
