Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, was present at the “Fostering the Future Together Summit,” hosted by U.S. First Lady, Melania Trump, at the White House in Washington, DC.

The event brought together 45 first ladies from across the world to discuss ways of expanding access to educational tools and protecting children in digital environments.

Among the notable attendees was France’s First Lady, Brigitte Macron, alongside several other global leaders’ spouses.

The summit focused on strengthening global collaboration to ensure young people are equipped with the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital world.

Participants also explored strategies for safeguarding children as technology continues to reshape education systems and everyday life.

A major highlight of the event was the introduction of an American-made humanoid artificial intelligence system known as Figure 3.

The presentation marked the first time such technology had been formally showcased to international leaders in a diplomatic setting at the White House.

Speaking at the summit, Melania Trump emphasised the growing influence of artificial intelligence in shaping the future.

“The future of AI is personified – it will be formed in the shape of humans. Very soon artificial intelligence will move from our mobile phones to humanoids that deliver utility,” she said.

She added that the advancement of AI could significantly reshape global dynamics.

“This technology may reset the modern world order and rebalance power. Your children must be prepared to ascend within this framework.”

Officials from nine countries, including the United States, France, Poland, the United Arab Emirates and Morocco, presented national strategies for integrating technology into their education systems.

The presentations highlighted ongoing efforts to equip students with digital skills and prepare them for the evolving technological landscape.

Melania urged participating countries to strengthen international partnerships in order to achieve the goals of the summit.

“Our coalition can make this vision real by supporting concrete initiatives that equip young people with the skills they need – invest, expand access, and foster new opportunity,” she said.
