Passengers Escape De@th as BRT Bus Catches Fire in Lagos

Passengers on a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) vehicle narrowly escaped de@th on Tuesday when the bus caught fire while moving on Mile 12 Bridge along Ikorodu Road in Lagos.

Eyewitness accounts indicated that the incident occurred mid-morning, with the high-capacity bus suddenly bursting into flames during the journey.

The passengers were said to have swiftly disembarked and moved to safety before the fire intensified.

Emergency personnel from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, supported by other first responders, arrived promptly at the scene and successfully put out the fire.

The charred vehicle was later evacuated from the bridge to ease traffic congestion in the area.

As of the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire had not been determined. No injuries or loss of life were recorded in the incident.
