The Minister of Works, Sen. David Umahi says his alleged indebtedness to a business woman, Tracy Ohiri meant nothing to him as he had fought several battles and won.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that news of the indebtedness allegedly incurred from Ohiri’s supply of promotional materials during Umahi’s 2014 Ebonyi gubernatorial campaign, had been rife.

Umahi in a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media, Francis Nwaze on Sunday, after inspecting work on Federal roads in the south east zone, said he was not distracted by the saga.

The minister stated that he is instead, stronger to deliver the infrastructural agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

“I have fought many battles so this one is nothing.

“I think people can presently focus attention on the Iranian conflict and allow me do my job,” he stated.

Umahi debunked the debt claims, stating that he has impeccable records in public service and leadership.

“I owed nobody as a party chairman, presiding over the affairs of both men and women and nobody accused me of harassment or indebtedness.

“I was deputy governor, governor for eight years and nobody could say he was owed unless the person is being mischievous.

“I didn’t know that politics has started but when the relevant umpire blows the whistle for its commencement, we will play it well.”

The minister humorously alluded that it would take an extremely beautiful woman to claim that a man had been making love advances at her for 12 years.

‘Only a queen can claim that a handsome man such as myself has been making such advances since 12 years.”
