JOHESU Suspends Nationwide Strike After 84 Days

The Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) has called off its nationwide strike after 84 days of industrial action.

JOHESU suspended the strike at the end of its expanded national executive council, NEC, emergency meeting held in Abuja on Friday.

The meeting was is said to have been convened to review the outcomes of the Federal Government-JOHESU conciliation meeting held on Thursday at the federal ministry of labour and employment headquarters.

According to a communique issued after the meeting, the union said the strike has been suspended to allow for the implementation of the FG-JOHESU Terms of Settlements.
