Tension erupted in Ikorodu, Lagos, on Friday after a fire broke out at A1 Petroleum Filling Station, an independent oil dealer situated on Isawo Road, off Agric Bus Stop.

The blaze, which reportedly began from a diesel-laden truck inside the premises, triggered panic among residents and motorists, many of whom fled the area for safety.

Officials of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, backed by other emergency responders, rushed to the scene to battle the flames.

As of 1 p.m., the extent of damage and possible casualties had yet to be confirmed, while the cause of the fire remained unknown.
