Former Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase, has reportedly passed away.

He was aged 69.

The immediate-past chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC) reportedly died on Sunday at the Cedarcrest Hospital in Abuja.

Born on June 21, 1956, Arase, the 18th IGP, hailed from Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State.

He retired from the Police on June 21, 2016, after reaching the mandatory retirement age.
