BREAKING: APC’s Joe Ikpea Wins Edo Central Senatorial By-election

Ikpea scored a total of 105,129 votes to defeat his closest rival, Prince Joe Okojie of the PDP, who scored 15, 146 votes.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Mr. Joseph Ugiagbe Ikpea of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the winner of the just-concluded Edo Central senatorial by-election.

INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Kingsley Omon declared that, Ikpea scored a total of 105,129 votes to defeat his closest rival, Prince Joe Okojie of the PDP, who scored 15, 146 votes.

The Edo central seat became vacant after Senator Monday Okpebholo, who previously held the position, was elected governor of the state in September 2024.
