Popular Nigerian human rights activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore, has alleged that the Nigeria Police Force is denying him access to medical care.

Sowore made this known on Friday afternoon during a visit by newsmen visit to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

Recall that Sowore was arrested and detained after honouring the police invite on Wednesday.

At about 6 am on Thursday, a group of police team violently entered his detention cell and broke his right hand.

Following the development, protesters stormed Force headquarters on Friday to demand Sowore release. Tagging his detention unlawful.

Addressing this, the police led newsmen to Sowore’s detention cell after a press briefing.

Speaking from detention, Sowore, in a now trending video shared by News Central, accused police of denying him a proper medical treatment.

Expressing disappointment over the standard of leadership in Nigeria, he said, “I’m ashamed of the president of Nigeria, that under his watch, Nigeria has become this kind of foolish theatre.

“Since I came here yesterday, they broke my hand and they have not been able to bring a doctor. They brought a nurse who bandaged my hand, and now they brought the media. Nobody requested for media. They are the ones who brought you people. The Nigeria police has no integrity”.
