Tinubu Directs Dalori to Assume Acting Chairman, APC Confirms Ganduje’s Resignation

Ali Bukar Dalori has officially taken over as the acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), following a directive from President Bola Tinubu. Tinubu gave the order following the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje from his position as APC’s National Chairman. Ganduje had tendered his resignation letter to the national Working Committee, NWC, through the party’s National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru. APC’s confirmation puts to rest the cloud of confusion surrounding Ganduje’s possible resignation. However, APC’s spokesman, Felix Morka said Dalori will be the acting National Chairman until the party’s National Executive Committee meet. Morka said: “The President has directed the Deputy National Chairman (North), Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, to assume the position of Acting National Chairman, pending the meeting of the National Executive Committee of the Party to be summoned immediately to fill the vacancy created by the resignation.” Reports had connected Ganduje’s sudden resignation to political calculations that would pave the way for Tinubu’s reelection in 2027. Initial claims that Ganduje resigned due to health grounds was dismissed, noting that he gave way to allow for the possible return of a top Northern politician

Tinubu Directs Dalori to Assume Acting Chairman, APC Confirms Ganduje’s Resignation

Ali Bukar Dalori has officially taken over as the acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), following a directive from President Bola Tinubu.

Tinubu gave the order following the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje from his position as APC’s National Chairman.
