The presidency has debunked reports making the rounds that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume has been replaced.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy debunked the viral report in a statement on Saturday night.
He said there has been no change in the status of Senator Akume as Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Onanuga said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, currently in Saint Lucia, has not made any new appointments.
“The information circulating about Akume’s replacement is untrue. Agents of mischief fabricated it,” he said.
The Presidency, therefore, advised Nigerians to disregard the fake news.
