A disturbing video has surfaced online showing secondary school students in Makurdi, Benue State standing in heavy rain while welcoming President Bola Tinubu to the state.

The kids were seen singing the national anthem along the road while being splashed water from the speeding convoy.

Tinubu is visiting the state following recent attacks on communities in Benue State that have left many residents grieving.

A video of the heartbreaking video of the students was posted on X.

See some reactions below:

@Trhymesz: “One day Nigerians will wake up, understand their rights & take their country back from these tyrants. Until then, they will only continue to be treated infelicitously by their callous leaders.”
