Another Petrol Tanker Explodes in Oyo

It was gathered that the tanker exploded in Ibadan, the state capital, on Tuesday

In what will come across as a really terrifying development, another petroleum tanker carrying some quantities of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, has exploded in Oyo State.

It was gathered that the tanker exploded in Ibadan, the state capital, on Tuesday.

The incident occurred around Aduloju area of Ibadan.

It was learned that the tanker exploded Tuesday along the Ibadan end of the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.

The General Manager of Oyo State Fire Service, Mr. Yemi Akinyinka, confirmed the development.

Akinyinka, in a short statement issued on Tuesday, said that the fire had been extinguished.

“Serious petrol tanker on fire at Aduloju Area, Agbowo Express, Ibadan. It has been extinguished. Details later.”

It was gathered that the latest tanker explosion is coming a few days after a tanker carrying some quantities of PMS exploded in the state.
