The Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja, Monday, reserved judgement on the petition brought before it by the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Asue Ighodalo.
Ighodalo, in his petition, is challenging the declaration of Governor Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as winner of the September 21, 2024 gubernatorial election in the State by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The three-man tribunal headed by Justice Wilfred Kpochi adjourned for judgement after parties had adopted their final written addresses.
Kpochi said the date for the judgment would be communicated to the parties and their counsels.
At the resumed hearing on Monday, counsel for the petitioners and respondents formally adopted their written submissions, marking the conclusion of legal arguments.
