A former commissioner for Information and Orientation in Bayelsa, Dr Daniel Iworiso-Markson, has congratulated the state governor, Senator Douye Diri on his fifth anniversary in office, describing his achievements as outstanding and commendable.
In a statement on Thursday, Iworiso-Markson praised the governor’s dedication to public service and his commitment to improving the lives of the state’s citizens, as evident in the number of life changing projects across the state.
The former commissioner said that with the number of projects lined up for commissioning and those earmarked for groundbreaking, there is no doubt that Diri’s Assured Prosperity agenda is fully on course.
He noted that very profound of the Bayelsa helmsman’s achievement is the peace, unity, and political stability that the state has enjoyed in the last five years, which he added explains his disposition.
While calling for more support for the governor, Iworiso-Markson expressed joy that Diri was completing projects of his predecessor alongside initiating new ones, an indication that he upholds the tenets of continuity as a major governance principle.
“I am delighted to congratulate His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, on his fifth anniversary as governor of our dear state,” the former commissioner said.
“His achievements in five years have been outstanding, and he has truly demonstrated his commitment to the welfare and well-being of our people.
“These achievements are a testament to the governor’s vision, leadership, and dedication to our state. I am confident that he will continue to lead our state to greater heights in the years to come.
“I am particularly excited that within the last five years, he has remained focused on completing the projects of his predecessor and initiating his own. This exemplifies continuity in government.
“I call on Bayelsans to continue to support his administration with prayers and solidarity to enable him and his team to complete the good works they have started.”
