Brig.-Gen. Taiye Ahmed, Commander 18 Brigade, on Friday charged troops to remain focused, disciplined, and loyal to constituted authority.

He gave the charge when he hosted frontline troops of his brigade to a special new year lunch at the brigade tactical headquarters in Tagina, Rafi Local Government Area, in Niger State.

Ahmed encouraged the troops to maintain the spirit of patriotism and continue to give their best in the discharge of their assigned duties and responsibilities.

He appreciated the officers and soldiers for their sacrifices and untiring commitment in tackling the numerous security challenges facing the country.

In his remarks, Alhaji Ahmadu Attahiru, Emir of Kagara, appreciated the Nigerian Army for establishing the 18 brigade tactical headquarters at Tagina.

Attahiru, represented by Alhaji Garba Bako, the Hakimin of Tagina, also commended the troops for their swift and timely responses to security threats in their areas of responsibility.
