The Deputy Governor of Edo, Dennis Idahosa, has called on the state’s citizens to embrace hope, unity and progress in the new year.

Idahosa made the call in his New Year message, as issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Friday Aghedo, in Benin on Wednesday.

The deputy governor assured the people that 2025 would usher prosperity, joy and fulfilment for the citizens.

According to him, the Gov. Monday Okpebholo-led administration is committed to the people’s well-being and prosperity.

“Happy New Year to the good people of Edo State.

“As we step into this new chapter, I urge us to embrace hope, unity, and progress.

“May this new year bring prosperity, joy, and fulfilment to every home and our dear state.

“Ours is not to lament the present situation of things in our dear state but to take advantage of the endless possibilities that abound to change the narrative for the betterment of the people.

“The governor’s commitment remains to put the needs of the state and its people above personal or political differences,” he said.

Idahosa urged the people to continue to work together to build a brighter future for the state.

“God bless you. God bless Edo State, and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” said the deputy governor.
