Vice President Kashim Shettima has described President Bola Tinubu as the most demonized politician in Nigeria.

Shettima disclosed that his house in Maiduguri is better than Tinubu’s Bourdillon residence in Lagos, yet Nigerians demonise him.

Despite the demonization, the Vice President assured Nigerians that Tinubu has a good soul and means well for the country.

Speaking in Abuja on Thursday, the Vice President said Tinubu is a leader Nigerians can trust because he’s not in power to accumulate wealth.

According to Shettima, the president is out for glory.

He said: “I’m not playing politics, I’m speaking from the heart. I have seen the soul of Bola Tinubu, and he has a good soul.

“He means well for the nation. He wants to live in a place of glory. He is not in power to engage in primitive capital accumulation. He is the most demonized politician in Nigeria.

“The first time I went to his house at Bourdillon, I was looking forward to seeing a mansion comparable to Buckingham Palace, with gardens and swimming pools, but there was nothing special about that house. My house in Maiduguri is better than the house in Bourdillon.”

He also called on Nigerians to support Tinubu as he makes strides to resolve Nigeria’s socio-political, economic, and security challenges.

He noted that Nigerians will soon start seeing the benefits of the tough measures being implemented.

Shettima informed Nigerians not to focus on the country’s past or present difficulties but on finding solutions to the core challenges.
