George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, has invited organised labor to an emergency conference in response to the current indefinite nationwide strike.
Comrade Festus Osifo, President of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, confirmed the meeting to The Nation on Monday.
According to him, labour representatives from the Nigeria Labour Congress, the NLC, and the TUC were on their way to the SGF office for the meeting.
“Yes, we are heading there now,” Osifo said.
